It was a dark day for God’s people. Their city was destroyed, their land was taken, their families were separated and their hope was gone. For nearly a century, their home lay in ruin and for nearly a century they lived without hope of restoration. As hope died, God looked for faith. Faith to take God at his word, faith to act, faith to build, faith to unite, faith to restore. And God found it in a man whose despair led to prayer; whose prayer birthed a burden; and whose burden inspired a nation to hope again.
