Adam North - Lead Pastor

Adam North became the lead Elder of ChristCentral Church in January 2020, taking the role on from Tim Blaber when he became Commission’s Director of Training. 

Adam and Nikki moved to Portsmouth in 2012 shortly after getting married.  At the time Adam was an Air Engineering Officer in the Royal Navy working at Navy HQ and Nikki was teaching in a primary school in the city.  

Adam was born in Portsmouth and joined the Royal Navy’s scholarship programme at 16 After graduating with a Masters in Aerospace Engineer at the University in Southampton he went on to work with Harrier aircraft with both the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force, taking him across the world.  It was while preparing for his final deployment to Afghanistan that he met Nikki at a friend’s wedding in Cape Town, South Africa. 

Nikki grew up in Cape Town, where her family still live. She studied Education (in Afrikaans) at the University of Stellenbosch, before teaching at the prestigious Somerset College.  Nikki was exploring options to teach for a year overseas when she met Adam at a wedding.  She happened to be coming to the UK Adam & Nikki got engaged during this year and were married in January 2012.  

Adam left the Navy in 2015, after being asked to join ChristCentral as the Executive Pastor, bringing leadership and structure to the church.  They have 3 young girls – Zoe, Jemima and Talia – and they live in Southsea, just up the road from the Tenth Hole Café.
